Join CRLP San Diego for our Integrated/Designated ELD Learning How English Works institute. The focus of the professional learning session is assessing and teaching Part II of the California ELD Standards. During our 3-day virtual training, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the text, sentence, and word level academic language of Part II of the CA ELD standards in addition to learning Linguistically Responsive Routines for both Integrated and Designated ELD.

Participants Will:
- Consider classroom language demands connected to the CA ELD standards
- Gain a deeper understanding of the text, sentence, and word-level academic language of Part II of the CA ELD standards
- Participate in an instructional routine sequence for teaching language
- Experience strategies for teaching text, sentence, and word-level language Practice the Student Work Analysis Protocol (SWAP) with a focus on language to set learning goals
- Determine how the protocols, strategies, and routines discussed will be practiced in each classroom
- Determine how to lead SWAP across departments in ‘23-’24
